Our Support Staff

Joann
Office Manager

Joann has been part of the NWPaPEC staff since July, 2007. She is a member of both the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association and Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Practice Association. 

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, scrap-booking, and spending time with her husband and her daughter; Papillon, Maggie; cats, Baby, Hobart, and Lucifer, and several backyard chickens.

Holly
Technician

Joining our staff in December 2013, Holly brought with her 9 year of experience in the veterinary field. She is a graduate of Edinboro University. Her areas of interest include nutrition and surgery.

Outside the clinic, Holly and her husband enjoy concerts, watching various sporting events and going to the beach. She shares her home with her kitty Geno.

Kris
Technician, Receptionist 

Kris has been a part of NWPaPEC team since its inception. She is a graduate of the Great Lakes Institute of Technology and has been working in the veterinary industry since 2000. Her preferred areas of interest within the field are radiology and ultrasound. 

Outside the clinic, Kris enjoys traveling the world and spending time with her family. Kris also loves spending time with her two dogs Scooter and Willow.

Katie,
Technician


Katie has successfully obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State Behrend, and has been setting her sights or her next step in her education. Katie has been working as a technician to hone her skills and explore all aspects of the veterinary field.  She is very interested in what this field has to offer before she decides on the path she will take. 

Katie loves the outdoors and just taking it all in.  When she is not working or in class, she enjoys basketball and dairy farming along with her boyfriend, and dog Cooper.

Gordon
Technician

Gordon brings vast knowledge and experience to our workforce here at NWPaPEC. He has an AS in Nursing, as well as a BS in Biology. He has worked in the veterinary field for over 20 years and has over 10 years' experience as a veterinary practice manager. Gordon's fields of interest include critical care, surgery, and anesthesia. 

Gordon also serves his community as a member of the local volunteer fire department as an EMT and firefighter, as well as a den leader for the Boy Scouts. Gordon enjoys spending his free time with his wife, 6 children, cat, Tigger and hound mix, Raj.

Brittni
Technician

After obtaining her Bachelor's degree from Edinboro University in Biology/Pre-Veterinary Medicine and working for three years in a small animal veterinary practice, Brittni joined our ranks in 2015. With so many different special interest opportunities in veterinary medicine, she is leaning toward small animal medicine with an interest in pocket pets.

When she isn't working, Brittni enjoys spending time with her family, friends, boyfriend, and her two rescued cats, Sammy and Moo.

Rebecca
Technician

After graduating Great Lakes Institute with a certification from the veterinary assistant program in 2001, Rebecca started working at a local small animal veterinary hospital and then joined the NWPaPEC team. She has many special interests in the veterinary medical field, a few include emergency medicine, client education, and dental care.

When not on shift at the ER, Rebecca enjoys jetskiing, boating, fishing, and spending time on Erie’s beaches in the sunshine. She and her husband enjoy spending time with their kitty, L.E., a domestic short hair.

Brittany,
Technician
(Certified)

Brittany recently joined our technical staff in early 2017 after graduating from the Vet Tech Institute in Pittsburgh.  Working through her externship with us, she confirmed her love of emergency medicine.  We are excited that her externship helped solidify her direction in veterinary medicine.

Brittany enjoys spending time with family and friends during her free time.  She spends her down time with her own "zoo" (as she puts it) at home including, 3 dogs, Jana, Cooper and Sam; 2 cats, Bink and Radar; and a rat named Sebashan.  She also enjoys hunting, camping, and reading.

Technician (Certified)

Sue joined our ranks in September 2010. She comes to us with a very diverse background, including 25 years prior experience, including 17 years working with both domestic pets and farm animals. Sue has an Associates degree from Medical School of Allied Heath Careers. Her areas of interest in the veterinary field include the utilization of technicians and large animal medicine. 

Outside of work, Sue enjoys hunting, sports, camping, and spoiling her granddaughters. Sue and her husband share their home with their two rescue dogs Gator and Lena.

Technician (Certification pending)

Patty joined our ranks in November 2013. She is a student of Veterinary Technician Distance Learning program through Purdue University and is member of their 2019 graduating class. She is also a member in good standing with PVMA, NAVTA and VECCS. Her areas of interest within the field include equine medicine, surgery, as well as emergency and critical care medicine.

Away from the clinic, she enjoys hunting, fishing and cake decorating. Patty and her husband share their home with their toy poodles Mindy & Sully; Golden Retriever  Mustard. She also enjoys spending time at the barn with their cats, Bullwinkle, Crosby, Roxy and Stetson while tending to their horses Chevy, the Mustang and Sam, the Quarterhorse-cross.

 Paula joined our staff early 
 in 2013. She has trained as 
 a receptionist as well as a
 veterinary assistant, 
 assisting clients and patients both in-person 
 and over the phone since 1992.

Shannon
R
eceptionist

With many years of experience as a client care representative not only in the veterinary field but also in the human cardiology field, Shannon brings her developed multitasking and communication skills to the NWPaPEC team. She has many interests in the medical field but behavior and cardiology are at the top of her list.

Shannon has many hobbies that she excels at such as baking, crafting, and making jewelry. She also enjoys reading books and listening to music. Her favorite hobby includes cuddling with her adorable adopted pup, Jersey. She also shares her home with her beloved cat Sway.

Amanda
Receptionist

Amanda has worked several years in the veterinary field prior to accepting a position here at NWPaPEC in 2016.  She adores English Bulldogs and other brachycephalic (meaning “short head”) breeds.   Graduate of Villa, Class of 1999, she is currently continuing her education, attending Penn State pursuing her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.

Amanda enjoys reading, and spending time volunteering as President of Lakeland Bulldog Club.  During her downtime she loves spending quality family time with her two children, Ameilla and Broderick, her 3 dogs, Blanca, Clover, Sadie May and last but not least her ferret, Peter

Morgan,
Vet Student


With interest in the veterinary medical field, Morgan is in college obtaining her degree in animal science and joined the NWPaPEC in 2015. She has a special interest in large animal medicine. We are excited to have Morgan join us while she explores other interests available in this field.

Morgan loves horseback riding and when she isn’t on campus for school or working, she enjoys spending time with her family, three dogs, AJ, Stella, and Pudge, as well as her three cats, Kitty, Smoke, and Spook.

Tyler,
Vet Student

Tyler started at our clinic as a technician in June 2013. At the time he was a pre-vet student at Gannon University. We are excited to announce that he will be continuing his education at the University of Wisconsin (class of 2019). We couldn't be more proud of his accomplishments and look forward to him returning to work in the summer and on holiday breaks. Tyler's primary interest is production/large animal medicine (as he grew up as part of a dairy family), but he is also interested in working small animal emergency.
