The Northwest Pennsylvania Pet Emergency Center was established in 2001 by a group of local veterinarians who felt that the needs of their patients would best be served by the presence of a dedicated emergency and critical care practice. A veterinarian and a full technical staff are present during all hours of operation. This allows us to most effectively treat and monitor critically ill or injured patients.
The doctors and staff of the Northwest PA Pet Emergency Center seek to provide the highest quality veterinary emergency and critical care services and procedures for patients in need of such care. Our hospital does not intend to act as a replacement for your regular veterinarian. Rather, our role is to assist your veterinarian by providing emergency and critical care for patients during overnight, weekend and holiday hours.
The staff at the Pet Emergency Center will act as the spokesperson for your pet. It is our professional, moral and ethical duty to educate you, the client, about your pet's needs. However, as the owner, it is your right to decide what level of care you are able and willing to provide for your pet. Our goal is to facilitate a balance between these two needs: providing the best possible care for the pet, while remembering the decisions regarding medical care have an impact on the entire family.
